Alessandra Alcala is a Pianist, Music Director, Composer/Arranger/Orchestrator, and Fifer. A Southern California native now based out of NYC, she began classical piano lessons at age five, though quickly decided that the theatre was the place to be! Alessandra served on the music team for Center Theatre Group's revival of The Secret Garden at Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre last Spring, and spent the holidays traveling the East Coast with the National Tour of "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Musical." Outside of the theatre world, she recently released her first collection of original works titled "Fife & I," now available for purchase.
Alessandra is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Music, and studied Choral Music/Conducting through the Delaware Choral Symposium in Provence, France. In 2017, she traveled to Basel, Switzerland for the first time to study the traditions of the Basel Piccolo during their annual Fasnacht. When not behind the keyboard, you can catch her performing with and arranging music for the Los Angeles Fifes and Drums, or performing her own works for solo fife. Notable performances include: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Universal Studios, and Disneyland.
